The artist’s practice stands out by the transformation of discarded materials into dense sculptures and installations, evoking both tapestry and textile tradition. Old keyboards, toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes become then imbued with a new value and meaning through an extended reflexion about overproduction, overconsumption and international exchanges.Takadiwa has exhibited extensively both in Zimbabwe and internationally. Recent highlights include his participation in the 36th São Paulo Biennial in Brazil in 2025 and representing Zimbabwe at the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024.
