RÉMANENCE: MOFFAT TAKADIWA

GALERIE FARAH FAKHRI is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Moffat Takadiwa, conceived following the artist’s residency in Abidjan.

 

Internationally recognised for his presentations at the Venice Biennale and the São Paulo Biennale, Takadiwa has developed a singular practice rooted in the recuperation of discarded materials. Through processes of meticulous accumulation and imbrication, he composes densely layered works that examine the material afterlives of objects within contemporary consumer culture. Suspended between abstraction and intricate patterning, his compositions transform the detritus of global trade into complex visual constellations.
