The line Samson Bakare is creating during his residency is a line with softie, positivity, loose and fluidity. The life feeling cool. When we are looking at his works, Samson Bakare want us to feel softness compared to what he created in the past. In instance, he wants us to see the difference between his previous works and those he created in his residency series in Abidjan  also as the harmony between the colors, an harmory that reflecting his visual perception of Abidjan residents. 

The narrative for these new works is not just to try something new, it is also to experience something new. The artist said that “you need to be new on the inside to expressive on the outside – an artist needs to asset data: place of research, turn around the city, visit nice place like Adjamé, a place very interesting to document this new body of work.
