Currently advisor to the Director General of the Museum of Black Civilizations, Ousseynou Wade has a wealth of experience in cultural policy and arts management. After several years in the cabinet of the Ministry of Culture as technical advisor. He found himself as General Secretary of the Biennale of Contemporary African Art. Organizing the Dakar biennial for six editions enabled him to follow and accompany numerous artists from the continent and the African diaspora. It has also enabled the organization of major international events, including design residencies and symposia on art criticism in Africa. With a view to fostering reflection on contemporary art in Africa, it initiated the publication of an art magazine in Africa, AFRIK'ARTS, which, over six issues, has encouraged critical contributions to contemporary art in Africa and periodically reported on current artistic events across the continent and the diaspora.
