Henri N'Koumo, born in 1965, studied literature before turning to the arts. He holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Art History from the University of Cocody and a Diploma of Advanced Specialised Studies in Museology. For many years he worked in the culture department of the newspaper Fraternité Matin (Abidjan), where he highlighted the work of many national and international visual artists. His current research interests focus on writing the history of art in Africa, particularly in Côte d'Ivoire. Henri N'koumo has directed the Musée municipal de Cocody. He curated the Côte d'Ivoire pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2019 and 2022. Henri N'Koumo in charge of the "Département du Livre" at the Ministry of Culture and Francophonie in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
